Next meeting
at 20:00 in the Meeting Room, Heslington on Monday 4 December 2023.
The Society meets at The Meeting Room in Heslington (see map below).
We meet on the first Monday of every month at 20:00 (except certain Monday bank holidays ).
The landlord of the Deramore Arms opposite has no objection to us taking refreshment across the road as long as everything is returned.
(Recently this has been closed on Monday nights 😡 - but the Charles XIII, just 80m, away allows us to take drinks away)
There is reasonable parking nearby (or in the pub car park if you use the pub)
There is an excellent bus service from town (No. 66 & 67) every 10 minutes.
We have very informal evenings.
The meetings start at 20:00 and carry on until about 22:00 pm.
Anyone can come and entry is £3.00/£2.00 (for room cost). You may just come to listen if you wish. Players of any standard are invited to perform in front of a very sympathetic audience and we have so far had many solos, duets and trios and, towards the end of the evening, we have staged several impromptu ensemble performances.
